SaReGa Music – School of Fine Arts has produced many students as good musicians including thirty music graduates in the last ten years. New York-Raja, a successful music teacher of SaReGa Music has set standards by conducting annual talent show exams, in order to develop musical talent among the students.

The students of SaReGa Music – School of Fine Arts celebrated the 10th annual celebrations on June 25, 2011 with the film play back singer/music composer Devan and many popular singers of toronto. NewYork-Raja introduced 10 budding music composers as young as 12 years and up sung by popular singers of Toronto and released the second music CD titled ‘Jillunnu Oru Isai’ – Cool Music.

He continuously strives to bring out the best in every single one of his students. Every year, the students’ talent show performances are recorded and evaluated. AR Rahman says, “I am shocked at the untimely passing away of Michael Jackson, one of the greatest musicians of our times. MJ for most of our generation was an icon who made uncompromising music. He pushed the milestone of Pop music to unbelievable levels through the 80s and 90s. I am yet to find an artist with that energy, perfection and vision. I met him personally after the Oscars in Los Angeles and we vibed very well. He said that he loved India and the Indian people. He said he heard good things about me and he was praising the chord progression of Jai Ho’s chorus.

He was bursting with energy and told me that every dance move he did came from his soul and did a five second stunning example. It was like a lightning strike. He was concerned about developmental issues such as Global Warming and about wars and its damages to the human community. He asked me to compose a unity anthem on the likes of “We are the World” for him. I nodded in awe…!

He introduced me to his three lovely bright kids. The kids told him “I love you Dad”. And he replied, “I love you more” as a proud father. I wished him well for his concerts and he said “God Bless you”. After hearing the shocking news, I wished it was another rumor which would fade away soon. It took me time to believe that he is no more. I remember, my late sound engineer H. Sridhar had brought me a video of the premiere of ‘Remember the Time’ when I was recording ‘Kadal Rojave’ for my first movie Roja. Seeing it inspired all of us that afternoon. Now, there is no Sridhar and no Jackson anymore. I hope
all of us value people’s existence more and respect them when they are alive. LIFE IS SHORT…! Artists and their art live for ever. Jai Ho, MJ! We love you for your
music, regardless of all the controversies!”

SAREGA Music–School of Fine Arts is celebrating the 8th Annual Celebrations on June 27, 2009.

On this 8th year celebration, it is marking its anniversary by releasing the First MUSIC CD, composed by 8 Students: Tharish, Tharshan, Sahithya, Vithyayini, Steve, Thibisan, Kavya & Kosiga. These students have been very dedicated Keyboard Players, Music Graduates & Music Composers.

6 out of these 8 Students, composed one song each for the ‘Own Composition Talent Show’ and emerged as the youngest music composers of SAREGA Music, on the 7th Anniversary last year.

The release of this Music CD brings more opportunities and is an immense achievement for these Students and SaReGa Music. This CD marks a stepping stone for other students of SAREGA Music
to accomplish many more endeavors.

These songs are professionally recorded and sung by cine fame singers: Krish & Chinmayi, along with the ‘Super Singers Juniors’ Krishnamurthy, Aishwarya, Suchithra & Vignesh., who are under 19 years of age like the Student Composers.

One song is composed by NewYork-Raja, the music teacher of SAREGA Music,  is sung by 8 popular singers in the Greater Toronto Area: Hari Bhaskar, Senthooran Azhagaiyya, Sivakumar, Parthiban, Hemant, Vakeesan, Saiesan and NewYork-Raja.

In the last 8 years, the students have performed for the Radio & TV shows and for the visiting Music Composers MS Viswanathan, Deva & his brothers. In the year 2007, Padmashree P. Susheela. performed with 11 selected students as solo keyboard players, playing multiple keyboards.

As a successful music teacher, NewYork-Raja, has set standards for the students.  Every year, the student’s exams are conducted by recording their performances, which are evaluated by qualified and trained music graduates of the school and also by popular musicians in the Greater Toronto Area. Famous Music Composers Bharathwaj, Ramesh Vinayagam & Singer Krish from Chennai have sent their expert opinion on the students best talent show performances in the last 3 years.
